The International Rescue Committee, one of the world’s largest humanitarian international NGOs, provides relief, rehabilitation and development support to vulnerable people and communities over 30 countries. We began work in Ethiopia in 2000 in response to severe drought in Ethiopia’s Somali region and are currently providing assistance to Ethiopians and refugees in six regions in Ethiopia, implementing emergency and development programs in health, water and sanitation, economic recovery, and development (ERD), women’s protection and empowerment, education, child protection, and multi-sectoral emergency response

International Rescue Committee wants to recruit employees in the following vacant Positions

Job Title: Education Officer (Re-Advert)

Required Qualification, Experience and Skills
Education: MA/MSC, BSC/BA in education, Special need education, Educational Planning and Management, Educational leadership, and/or social sciences with 1 year experience for MA/MSC, 2 years experience for degree holders, 5 years work experience for diploma holders and above preferable in education in emergencies and displacement settings
Experience in working with government counterparts and other partners at regional and woreda level and NGO experience is a plus
Good understanding of the education sector in Tigray region.
Demonstrable experience in facilitation of training/workshops
Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a multi-sectoral team.
Fluency in Tigrigna language is advantageous with good spoken and written English skills as well as good communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of computers (particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook)
