The project seeks to recruit a short term (ST) local expert to bring a significant value-addition in bridging BMOs and their members to strengthen BMOs role and performance on advocacy and service quality related interventions.
External expertise is required in two major areas to bridge BMOs and their members: 1) advocacy related (enhance BMOs capacities in dialogue with members, identify issues for advocacy and business interest representation, lift cities and regions business interests to national level while using BMOs collaborative chains), 2) coach BMOs in assessing quality of their provided services, maintaining dialogue and feedback from members, measuring customer satisfaction interest (CSI), identify demand driven service and other quality and quantity related indicators, integrate it into Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks.
Advocacy and business interest representation are defined by dialogue and building a collaboration bridge between BMOs and members. This dialogue also contributes to BMOs role and delivered service range. Earlier surveys have shown that BMOs need to conduct surveys, maintain dialogue, measure feedback, identify member needs in a stronger way to assess their members’ satisfaction with the services that the BMO provides. Limited knowledge, practical applications and undervalue to appreciate dialogue and bridge with members by BMOs are among the key reasons defining vital need for BMOs to satisfy member interests and improve services.
After a clarification of the assignment with the project team, the expert is responsible for training and coaching of a selected group of BMOs (expected up to 20 Ethiopian BMOs).
