Job Title : Liaison Officer

Required Qualification, Experience and skill
Education Bachelor’s degree
Relevant training in liaison, ICT, security, and logistics.
Previous experience in liaison and security management is an advantage.
strong understanding of safety and security protocols
3 years’ experience working with INGOs.
Ethiopia driving license public 1.
Good working knowledge of both English and Amharic languages are essential.
Strong organizational skills in emergency situations and autonomous in daily operations
Good communication and reporting skills
Fully fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience/knowledge of Addis Ababa is a plus.
Work place: Addis Ababa with regular travel to field offices,
Represent MDM Germany at federal and regional levels, ensuring cooperation, partnerships, and information sharing with various organizations.
Collaborate with partner organizations’ logistics teams to establish effective connections for interagency logistics and security coordination.
Communicate with customs, shipping, freight forwarders, and government authorities to facilitate customs processing and documentation.
Participate in monthly cluster meetings conducted by various UN and relief organizations. Establish a harmonized line of communication between the teams in the capital and field offices.
Stay informed about developments and trends that may affect the organization and its partners.
Act as a security focal person at Addis level and support Logistic Coordinator and General Coordinator in implementing safety and security procedures.
Monitor and analyses security information and networks within the project area and disseminate security information appropriately.
Provide orientation to newly arrived staff in Addis on safety and security protocols, communication, and project activities.
Provide recommendations for improving security management and mitigating risks from fraud, corruption, and insecurity.
Maintain accurate filing systems and manage documentation, service contracts, and compliance with payment schedules.
